what to wear

February 11, 2009

Simple clothing choices without large logos or cartoon characters are  best for keeping the focus on your child.   Jeans, khakis, and simple slip or sundresses are classics and always photograph well.

When choosing clothes for the whole family, opt for clothes that are similar in style and tone.  It can be helpful to include a patterned piece as the central color palette for other members’ outfits.

Bare feet are usually best for the whole family, unless there is an especially fun shoe (like galoshes or cowboy boots) that you want to include.

Parents, please take off your wristwatches.
