First a quick note:  If you’re looking for information on the March minisessions, just scroll down a tad! And now, back to regular programming. . .

Meet Miss Eliana.  Cutest little bundle of delicious little rolls and, my goodness, the cutest little motorboat lips you’ve ever seen.  That’s what Eliana was most interested in. . . motorboat lips.  And with such intense effort.  Hilarious.  Loved spending the morning with this sweet babe and her momma.

And check out all of the lovely handcrafted items.   A beautiful christening gown made by Eliana’s great-grandmother and worn by her older sisters.  Such amazing detail in this gown.  And a  gorgeous quilt made by Eliana’s grandmother - loved the fun colors.   And the sweet bedding was made by Eliana’s mom.   So many traditions.  Love that.

Please use the “add a comment” link below the pictures to share your thoughts.   And don’t be shy :o)  I love reading comments! You will need to enter your name and an email of some sort, but your information will never be used or shared in any way.  promise.

At last!  March minisession info is up!  I wanted to take a different approach to my spring minisessions this year.  No more waiting in line for your precious 15-20 minute slot and then hoping that your little one’s in her or his sunniest mood for your time slot.  This year’s minisessions will be more like a petite version of our regular sessions.

Minisessions are being offered during the month of March, and we will meet at a location in Chapel Hill that we decide on together.  Session length will be whatever it needs to be.  Thirty minutes will usually be sufficient, but if we need longer (or we’re hust having too much fun), we will have that freedom.  The session will be relaxed.  Caual.  Fun.  As always :o)

Okay.  Sounds good so far, right?  So how are the mninisessions different?  The main difference is that a minisession will yield 8-10 images and will likely be more suited to families with 1-2 children.  Babies should be sitting up on their own to participate in these.  The mnisession fee is $125 and minisessions collections startat $350.  And, yes, digital images are available!

For more information, call me at 919-360-8601 or email me at khunterphoto@gmail.com

Oh and p.s.  I”m giving myblog followers first dibbs!!  There are a limited number of minisessions available, and I promise not to announce them anywhere else until next week.  So if you’re interested, you can call this week and be assured of getting a slot!

Ta ta for now-Kathleen

Sweet sweet love.   New little babies are so magical.  Always.  But there’s something extra magical about a couple’s first newborn.   I love how this couple absolutely shines with their love and adoration of their sweet little Aidan, who was such a dreamy babe.    Every time I work with their images I feel a little splash of it - what a gift.

I so value everyone’s thoughts ~please leave a comment by using the “add a comment” link below the pictures.  You will need to enter your name and an email of some sort but it will never ever be used or shared in any way.  promise.

The quote a dear friend left on my voice mail this week:   “May my soul bloom with love for all of existence.”   Love that.  And I wanted to  share it on this day especially.

The quotation made me think of this photograph I took last fall, something a little bit different for the blog. . .

love

I woke up to two adoring little valentines, construction paper hearts so painstakingly created and eyes absolutely shining.   Moments like these make my heart stop.   Hope everyone has a love-filled day!

For those asking about minisessions - stay tuned, I’ll share details for March minisessions this week.  Promise!!

XOXO ~ Kathleen

My oh my.   What cute li’l blue eyed, chubby little loves I got to meet this week.   Meet James, mr soulful eyes, and Matthew, who  has the most perfect lips ever made I think.   And he kept that mouth busy I tell ya ;)   His favorite thing to explore was James ~ James’ toes, ears, hair. . . it was hilarious to watch.   And James was usually okay with it.   Wellllll. . . . for the most part anyway!   Here are just a few of my favorites.

Snow snow snow!!   Sledding, snowball fighting, walking in snowy woods, snowangel making, and of course snowman building.   And then warming up by the fire with hot cocoa and popcorn. . . . snowy days.   Thomas busily built snow forts and ice houses for homeless little critters to find and get warm and then inspected the different animal prints left in the snow. . . ”a new mystery,” he would say when he found an unfamiliar track.   Tiny little bird tracks in fresh snow have always been a favorite of mine. . . Sadie Ellen kept saying “I looooove winter.”  Together we built a snowman that the kids christened “Cocoa the Snow Angel” (or is it “Koko the Snow Angel”. . .)  Thomas’ contribution was Snow Angel.  Sadie Ellen wanted Cocoa (Koko?) of course. . . Sadie Ellen names EVERYTHING Cocoa/Koko.  Stuffed animals, pretend characters etc.  Every single time, it’s Cocoa/Koko.  One time she actually named something “Really Cocoa/Koko”. . . lol.
It’s been ages since I’ve shared photos of my little loves.  So here are just a few of the fun.  Of course I’ve got to start with Cocoa the Snow Angel.   One snowangel full of character.  With eyes of blueberries (for the birds. . . except a day later the birds still haven’t eaten them. . .)
I hope you all enjoyed the snow in your own way.   Namaste~  Kathleen
p.s. Stay tuned as I’m announcing minisessions soon!
p.p.s.  Something’s up with the coding and it won’t let me do paragraph breaks!  Sorry for the dense paragraph :o)
